On December 3, 2004, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Improvement Act of 2004 (IDEA 2004) was signed into law. This law entitles all individuals with disabilities to a free appropriate public education (FAPE) in the least restrictive environment (LRE). This new law provides for important changes to ensure that students with disabilities receive quality education. |
